11:30-1:45 | Design Jam by Vancouver Design Nerds
We live in a rainy city, and indoor space for public events can be hard to find, but that doesn’t have to stop community engagement outdoors, just because it’s wet! Over the last few months, we’ve been prototyping possible forms for this bubble structure, currently featured at POP! Now we want to hear from you! How might we scale this bubble platform for various installments around town, with strategic partners, to make a real splash? Join us for an exciting and condensed design jam as we ideate on possibilities to bring change to our communities.

2:00-4:00 | Public Spaces Storytelling by the Civic Engagement Youth Hub
What role do public spaces have in our lives? They are often spaces of conflict and avoidance but also cooperation, sharing and relationship building. Come and join CityHive as we celebrate youth storytellers who have a story/experience/complaint/insight about our parks, community centres, libraries, and other public spaces! Warning: youth may share stories that may make you laugh, cry, cringe, inspire you, or any combination of the above! After the sharing of stories, CityHive’s Civic Engagement team will facilitate a public conversation/activity about the past/present/future of our public spaces and their role in our lives so be sure to stick around.

4:30-6:30 | Live performance by Soft Fit and Big Zen

This event would not be possible without all the lovely help and hands of many:
-Lighting by Hfour
-Poster by Joyce Liao + Jessica Broomfield
-Ping-Pong by frida&frank
